The Polk County Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers & Ranchers and Women’s Committee present the Hunger Shootout to benefit Wild Game Food Bank and the YF&R Scholarship Fund.

Polk County Farm Bureau is one of the largest county federations in the state, with well over 4,800 members and growing. Polk County Farm Bureau works hard to be the “Voice of Agriculture.” They are a grassroots organization that gets the job done!

The YF&R program’s primary goal is to enable and encourage young adults to become active participating members of Farm Bureau. The YF&R Committee includes both men and women between the ages of 18 and 35. The committee members participate in legislative, membership, youth and public relations activities. A portion of the proceeds from the Hunger Shootout will benefit the YF&R Scholarship Fund. Each year, the YF&R awards a scholarship to a deserving Polk County high school student who chooses agriculture as a career.

WGFB is the Women’s Committee charity of choice. The Women’s Committee feels our organization is worthy of their support, and we are grateful for it!
